After several days of all out feasting, fish have fasted over the last few. Which is good news for us planning a fishinโ€™ mission over the coming days. The fish will have to feed despite the full moon. Get your lures ready!

Easy fishing out wide (50m+) for big snapper and solid kingfish has been the realistic expectation, but with the full moon appearance on the horizon the party slowed right down over the last 2 days. Sure drifting the open areas especially out in 45m you can still readily catch good eating sized snapper and a few notable gurnard as well, but the real bite should come back on strong again very shortly.

Incredible sights of rare Blue Whales, little baby dolphins and the odd curious seal, glimpses of mammalian life out in the ocean, always such a thrill to see.

When that bite does come back on, itโ€™ll pay to fish fast, as the winter hibernation has set in somewhat, so be prepared with several different styles of catching fish and you will be rewarded, go big and bright โ€“ have a look at the ‘Light up your lures’ video and see what I mean.

Enjoy your fishing whatever your favourite species may be and keep your eye out for some once in a lifetime moments of mighty Blue Whales and more.

Cheers,
Espressso
