도시어부 에게 보내는 감사 메세지…

Whatever fishing you’re into, and wherever you may fish, windows of opportunity present themselves, and great fishing opportunities there are!

The shallower waters around the greater Auckland region really cooled their heels this week, sea temperatures down further, so many fish like humans seem to have reacted to this with a bit of huddle-down and gone into slow-motion while adjustments are made. And of course there’s the full moon to contend with – which is great news if you’re heading to Waihau Bay to chase down those big beautiful Bluefin Tuna!

Out further in the Hauraki Gulf the fishing has been highly rewarding after cold ‘n dark early morning starts, the sea temperatures out wider are 2 degrees warmer than inshore.

Mid-tidal current flow has been the time when both kingfish and snapper have come on the bite. Prior to bite time the going can be slow which pays to have a slightly different approach, then when the bite is on, it’s all on, catching much bigger fish fast has been the name of the game out there, they’ve been hungry! Big baits traditionally mean big fish, and yes the Catch Fishing BIG jigs have been working very well to target the big winter fish.

Some very special fishing shots from Korea, fishing with 도시어부 in this week’s Where’s the Fish, life’s what you make it. Have fun and enjoy your fishing, wherever that may be!

Cheers
